  • Eiffel Tower Trout Pond Boardwalk Project Continues to Progress

    The Eiffel Tower Trout Pond Boardwalk Project at Eiffel Tower Park is progressing well, with crews completing initial clearing and erosion control. Wetland excavation and concrete paving are ongoing. The project aims to create an accessible outdoor destination with boardwalks, a fishing pier, and enhanced habitats, scheduled for completion by December 14, 2026.

  • Important Downtown Signalization Construction Update

    Demolition and construction will commence at the E. Wood Street & Poplar Street intersection tomorrow, August 28. While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, expect traffic changes. Commuters should plan ahead, exercise caution, and follow signs. This work is part of the Downtown Signalization Project to enhance traffic signals and pedestrian safety.

  • Coming Soon: ADA Accessible Nature Trail Project at Eiffel Tower Park Extended

    A major improvement project is coming to the Trout Pond at Eiffel Tower Park Extended. Funded through a 2024 Community Development Block Grant, the project will create a fully ADA accessible trail system, new boardwalks, a fishing pier, enhanced wetlands, and improved access to one of the park's most scenic natural areas. Construction begins June 17 and is expected to be completed by December 2026.

  • Downtown Signalization Project Moving Into Construction Phase

    The City of Paris is preparing to begin Phase 1 of its Downtown Signalization Project, a major infrastructure investment funded through the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program. Construction starts June 22 and will bring upgraded traffic signals, improved pedestrian safety features, ADA accessibility enhancements, and modern traffic detection technology to key downtown intersections. Residents and businesses can expect temporary traffic adjustments as work progresses through the fall.
