The City of Paris would like to notify motorists of temporary downtown intersection closures scheduled for Monday, November 9, as the Downtown Signalization Project nears completion.
A subcontractor will be in town to complete the final pavement marking work, including repainting traffic lines and crosswalks at all three recently upgraded intersections.
Intersections Affected
Each intersection will need to be temporarily closed for approximately 2–3 hours while crews complete the work. Closures are expected to occur in the following order:
- E. Wood Street & S. Brewer Street
- E. Wood Street & S. Poplar Street
- E. Washington Street & N. Poplar Street
What Motorists Need to Know
Please avoid these intersections if possible on Monday and plan for additional travel time. Motorists should use alternate routes when available and exercise caution around construction crews.
The Final Step!
This pavement marking work is the final major step in the Downtown Signalization Project. We are excited to see these improvements nearing completion and appreciate the patience and cooperation of our residents, downtown businesses, and visitors throughout construction.
Thank you for helping us finish strong!
