The City of Paris is working to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety in our downtown area by installing new features such as new signal controllers & heads, vehicle detection technology, and pedestrian safety enhancements.

  • Downtown Signalization Project Moving Into Construction Phase

    The City of Paris is preparing to begin Phase 1 of its Downtown Signalization Project, a major infrastructure investment funded through the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program. Construction starts June 22 and will bring upgraded traffic signals, improved pedestrian safety features, ADA accessibility enhancements, and modern traffic detection technology to key downtown intersections. Residents and businesses can expect temporary traffic adjustments as work progresses through the fall.
