World’s Biggest Fish Fry Grand Parade – Road Closures & Parking Info

The World’s Biggest Fish Fry Grand Parade is almost here, and Paris will soon be filled with excitement, community spirit, and visitors from across the region.

To help you plan ahead, here’s what you need to know about parade timing, road closures, parking, and navigating the area.


🕙 Parade Start Time

The Grand Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 24th.

We encourage attendees to arrive early to find a good viewing spot and avoid last-minute traffic delays.

Be sure to review the map below for a full overview of the parade route and all associated road closures to help plan your visit.

Please note that all additional side streets along the parade route will be closed also.


🚧 Road Closures

The City of Paris Police Department will begin closing roads in preparation for the parade:

7:00 a.m.

  • East Wood Street will close from Highland Avenue to Lake Street
  • North & South Highland Street

Between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

  • Additional closures will take place, including portions of:
    • East Wood Street
    • Brewer Street
    • Lake Street
    • Tyson Avenue
    • Volunteer Drive
    • All other side streets along the parade route

Please plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time if you need to pass through the downtown area Friday morning.


🚗 Parking Information

To support a safe parade route:

  • No parking will be allowed along the parade route on Friday morning
  • Vehicles parked along the route during closure times may be subject to towing

⚠️ Safety Reminders

  • Expect increased pedestrian traffic as parade time approaches
  • Use extra caution when driving near downtown
  • Follow all posted signage and directions from law enforcement officers
