Each July, communities across the country come together to celebrate the vital role parks and recreation play in our lives. This year marks the 40th annual Park and Recreation Month, and we’re proud to join the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and cities nationwide in honoring the spaces, programs, and people that make our community stronger.
The 2025 theme, “Build Together, Play Together,” is all about celebrating how parks are more than just playgrounds or green space — they’re the foundation of thriving, connected communities. In Paris, Tennessee, our parks do just that: they create spaces for neighbors to gather, families to grow, and residents of all ages to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and build lasting memories.
🌳 What Park and Recreation Month Means in Paris
We’re highlighting the people and places that make Paris parks so special. Whether it’s walking the trails at the Eiffel Tower Park, playing a soccer game at McNeill Park, or skateboarding at Ogburn Park, our parks are where our community comes to life.
Here’s how we’re celebrating:
Build — Our parks are where community takes shape. Every trail upgrade, bench installation, and ballfield prep is part of building connection and pride.
Play — From the Eiffel Tower Splash Park to concerts at the Krider Performing Arts Center, our parks are full of moments that bring joy, wellness, and togetherness.
Grow — Behind every clean lawn and successful event is our dedicated Parks and Recreation team. Their hard work keeps our parks safe, welcoming, and ready for the community to enjoy.
