Brooks Street Drainage Project Update: Temporary Access Road Completed

We’re excited to share a progress update on the ongoing Brooks Street Drainage Project! Our hardworking Public Works Department has completed a temporary access road connecting Lark Street to Mockingbird Lane. This detour route is now available for Brooks Street residents to use while construction is underway.

The road is essentially a gravel path. It’s not fancy, but it’s functional and essential. It will help maintain local traffic flow and ensure that emergency vehicles can continue to move efficiently through the area during the drainage improvements.

Please remember, this road is temporary and will only be available for use during the length of the Brooks Street Drainage Improvement Project.

We’re especially grateful to Setco Automotive for their generosity in allowing the city to cut this temporary access road through their property. This will greatly help us minimize disruption to residents during construction.

Initial contact forms were sent out to residents last week. If you did not receive a form, please contact Community Development Director Jessica Crouch at 731-641-1410.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work to improve drainage and infrastructure in the area. Stay tuned for more updates!
