The Brooks Street Drainage Improvement Project is still moving forward, but the construction start date has shifted. Originally expected to begin in August, work is now projected to start in early October.
The delay is due to two primary factors:
- Plan Submittal Process: Additional time was required for review and approval of project plans.
- Material Lead Times: Some of the specialized materials needed for the project have longer delivery windows than originally anticipated.
While this change pushes the schedule back, the overall scope of work and commitment to improving drainage and water quality in the Brooks Street neighborhood remains the same. Crews are preparing so that once materials arrive, construction can begin without further interruption.
We will continue to share updates as soon as firm start dates are confirmed so residents know what to expect.
