The Paris Police Department offers alarm registration for residential, commercial, church, and government properties within the city.
Registering your alarm system helps officers respond more effectively in the event of an emergency by providing important contact and property information.
Residential Alarm Registration
Residential alarm registration is free of charge.
When completing your application, please include as many relevant details as possible. On the back of the application, be sure to note anything officers may need to be aware of, including:
- Pets inside the residence
- Medical conditions or disabilities
- Gate or access instructions
- Emergency contact information
- Any other important details that could assist responding officers
The more information you provide, the better prepared officers will be when responding to your property.
Commercial & Church Alarm Registration
Commercial properties and churches are required to pay a $25 annual registration fee.
Please remember:
- Keep your contact information updated at all times
- There is no fee to update contact information
- If ownership or management changes, updated contact information must be submitted promptly
False Alarm Information
Residential, commercial, church, and government alarm users are allowed two free false alarms.
After two false alarms, a $25 fee may be assessed for each additional false alarm response.
False alarms draw officers away from other calls for service that may require immediate response. Keeping alarm systems properly maintained and contact information current helps reduce unnecessary dispatches.
If you know your alarm was triggered accidentally, please contact Dispatch as soon as possible before officers arrive. In many cases, this can help prevent a false alarm charge. 📞 Call 731-642-2424 and select the option for Central Communications Dispatch.
Annual Renewals
The Paris Police Department sends renewal notices each year around January.
Please make sure your registration remains current to avoid interruptions in service or communication.
