The City of Paris is excited to announce a major milestone in public safety and community development: the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Paris Fire Station #1. The event will take place on Monday, December 1 at 11:00 a.m. at 1555 Tyson Avenue, and community members are invited to join us for this important moment in our city’s progress.

Since 1960, the current Fire Station #1 has served Paris faithfully, but the aging facility no longer meets the needs of a modern fire department. As the community has grown and emergency response demands have evolved, it has become increasingly clear that a new, modern station is essential. The new facility will provide updated training space, improved response capabilities, and safer, more efficient accommodations for our firefighters.
City leaders, project partners, and members of the Paris Fire Department will gather for a brief program before the ceremonial groundbreaking. Community members are encouraged to attend, show support for our first responders, and see firsthand the beginning of this important project.
“This is an exciting step forward for Paris,” said Fire Chief Jamie Hinson. “This new station will give our firefighters what they need to continue serving our community at the highest level.”

Construction is expected to begin shortly after, and project updates will be shared throughout the building process on the City of Paris website and social media platforms.
