Animal Control

The City of Paris is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of both residents and animals within our community. Our Animal Control Services work diligently to enforce local animal laws and regulations to maintain a harmonious environment for all.

Our Services Include:

  • Catching Animals in Violation of Animal Laws: Our Animal Control team responds promptly to reports of animals that are in violation of established regulations, ensuring that they are safely contained and removed from public areas.
  • Impounding and Sheltering: Animals that are caught are taken to the Paris-Henry County Animal Shelter, where they are provided with safe, compassionate care and monitored until they are reclaimed or adopted.
  • Enforcement of Animal Control Laws: We are dedicated to upholding local animal control laws, which include regulations on pet ownership, licensing, and leash laws, ensuring compliance for the welfare of all.
  • Handling Complaints: If you notice stray or wandering animals within the city limits, our team is ready to handle complaints and take appropriate action to address the situation promptly.
