fountain at night

The new Downtown Park fountain may be most impressive and beautiful at night. The water from the upper area flows over the wall engraved with large letters spelling out Paris, Tennessee, twice around as well as an Eiffel Tower emblem separating the two. The lower wall is flat and intended for seating, but there are also park benches nearby. The water is continuously recycled. In the background is a gazebo with two picnic tables. The park will be formally dedicated and opened with special ceremonies at 10 a.m. Saturday. Special events throughout the downtown area will coincide with the opening of the park. —Staff photo by Bill McCutcheon
