Electric, Sewer, Water:
The Paris Board of Public Utilities, created in 1938, serves all of Henry County with electricity. The BPU has a contract with the Tennessee Valley Authority. The system is served by a 150,000 kW primary station and fourteen distribution stations with a total capacity of 165,000 KVA.
BPU also provides sewer and water services to the residents of the City of Paris. In addition, the BPU provides the community with wastewater treatment facilities and collection system.

Formed in October, 1953, Paris Henry County Public Utility District distributes natural gas in the City of Paris. The district is a nonprofit municipal corporation serving the towns of Paris, Puryear, Whitlock, Cottage Grove, Tennessee, and Hazel, Kentucky.
ANR Pipeline Company, a division of El Paso, one of 12 major pipelines in the U. S., has proven to be a reliable supplier. Natural gas has never been curtailed during the 40-year relationship with the gas district.
The Paris-Henry County Gas Utility District serves 6000 residential and commercial customers as well as 14 industrial customers. Rates to industrial customers are negotiable depending upon load and volume.
Facilities are available to deliver gas from four ounces to 250 pounds pressure at the customer meter through lines ranging from 3/4-inch to 6-inch.

DSL Internet service is available to qualified locations in Paris. Charter Communications offers residential local and long distance service with up to 10 calling features. An enhanced 911 system is operational in Henry County.
