With over 60 volunteers, the second Preserve Paris event was another huge success. Crews were out in the neighborhood just after 8:00 am and worked tirelessly until about 10:30 am when they all met together in the parking lot of the HCMC Home Health and Hospice parking lot located on East Wood Street. Reuse began immediately following the clean up and the City of Paris Public Works Department had every thing cleaned up first thing Monday morning.
The City of Paris would like to say THANK YOU to another amazing group of volunteers for their work in our Atkins Porter Clean Sweep Day. We just can’t say enough about this great community and the pride in our neighborhoods. We had organized groups, individuals, neighbors, families, city employees, youngsters, people of all ages, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Also thanks to Henry County Medical Center for the use of their parking lot to stage the workers and serve lunch.
Thanks again to our lunch sponsors: Lakeway IGA, Walmart, Kroger, E. W. James and Sons, Lewis Bakeries and Dollar Tree…….to the Henry County Litter Program and the City of Paris MS4 Program for their support with this project.
