City Attorney Fred N. McLean
City Attorney, Fred N. McLean, is a partner in the firm of McLean & McLean and has been practicing law in Paris for 36 years. He was born in Paris Tennessee in 1949 and graduated from E. W. Grove High School in 1967. He is a 1971 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1974. He is board certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. He has been City Attorney for the City of Paris since 1978.
The mission of the Paris City Attorney’s Office is to deliver outstanding legal services to the City by:
- Providing sound legal advice and superior legal representation to City officials to help them achieve their goals
- Representing the City in litigation matters
- Protecting public health, safety, and welfare by effectively prosecuting misdemeanor-level crimes
